Perfect for September birthdays, these beautifully blue contemporary pendant drop earrings are made from a handcrafted sterling silver bezel setting, and paired with gorgeous genuine natural rose-cut Sapphire gemstones - Sapphire being the traditional birthstone for the month of September.

The settings are handmade from castellated silver gallery wire, with a solid backplate, and are suspended by means of a simple silver ring to handmade Argentium Sterling Silver hookwires, which are a longer length to help balance the weight.

Argentium is a newer variety of sterling silver and is stronger, more tarnish resistant and also hypoallergenic - this makes it perfect for those who may have a sensitivity to traditional 925 sterling silver.

The gemstones are genuine natural Sapphires, with a beautiful opaque deep blue colour, and have been rose-cut with a checkerboard surface for the perfect amount of sparkle. They do have some natural tiny occlusions and indentations in the stone, which may be seen in the close-up photos but are otherwise not visible without magnification.

There are just two pairs of earrings available, one slightly more angular (pair A) and one with a more rounded edge (pair B), and measurements are given below. Please select your chosen pair from the menu.

• Pair A (Angular)- Backplate of setting measures 17mm by 16mm, with a depth of 4mm. Earwires are 35mm long.

• Pair B (Rounded)- Backplate setting measures 16mm by 16mm, with a depth of 4mm. Earwires are 38mm long.

The silver has been oxidised to bring out the detail of the patterned wire, and then polished back to a semi-satin finish. The reverse of the backplates have been left plain.

Due to weight and value, these earrings will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box. All items are sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.

Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).

I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.
