Product Details

This delicate and very pretty chain bracelet features a stunning little pebble of cornflower blue sea glass, wrapped in a crown-style gallery bezel setting and positioned centrally within a 20cm long chain bracelet made of oval-linked trace chain.

The sea glass in this bracelet is a striking cornflower blue, with a beautifully tactile and frosty surface . The glass was not found personally by me, but instead sourced from a fellow beachcomber in the North East of England who has also shaped it by hand into a perfectly round and flat based cabochon in order to create perfect symmetry and let the beautiful colour take centre stage.

If you prefer your sea glass to be completely 'as found' and in its totally original ocean-tumbled shape, then I do have other bracelets and bangles available that feature glass that fits that description!

The glass in this bracelet is smaller than that in most of my other pieces, and measures a dainty 8mm across - giving the bracelet a very dainty and elegant appearance. It is mounted in a lovely silver setting made from patterned wire with a circular cut-out in the back . The setting is 5mm in depth and fastens to the chain on either side. The links in the chain are just over 4mm wide and the clasp can be attached to any of these, meaning the bracelet is fully adjustable to any length up to a maximum of 20cm.

The whole piece has been polished to a bright shine.

A really stunning and unique bracelet that is perfect for anyone who loves the sea and likes to wear their sea glass in view!

ABOUT THE SEA GLASS

Sea glass is broadly defined as glass which has been discarded into the oceans or on beaches, thereafter spending many decades being gently tumbled by the waves. This gives it the characteristic smooth edges and beautiful frosted appearance which defines it.

Every piece of sea glass I use is authentic, genuine sea glass – much of which I find locally on my own beach. This particular piece, however, was found on the North East coast of the UK.

As the glass I use is genuine, ocean tumbled sea glass, it does contain the very tiny indentions and 'C' marks on the surface which were created as it spent decades in the water - these are the characteristic signs of its authenticity. These marks are not usually obvious to the naked eye but may be visible in the close-up photographs.

Each item of sea glass jewellery I make will by its very nature be unique and 'one of a kind' - the pictures you see here in each listing will be of the exact item that will be received and I always try to give as accurate a description as possible. Please feel free to message me if there is anything else you would like to know about sea glass or any item in this collection!

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Due to weight and value, this bracelet will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box. All items are sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.

Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).

I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.

Please be aware that I am unable to guarantee specific delivery times of orders once posted but an estimate will be provided on checkout. This is a guide only.

GIFT WRAP & MESSAGING

This item already includes the gift packaging upgrade as standard, which is why the option to select it is not included on this listing.

If you wish to include a short handwritten message on a tag then I am more than happy to provide this service free of charge. Please enter any required text in the optional box to the left of the images.

In addition, if you wish the item to be sent direct to the recipient, then please make sure the mailing address is correct during the checkout process.
