This stunning 'one of a kind' pendant is handcrafted in fine and sterling silver and features a beautiful oval-shaped Crazy Lace Agate gemstone.

The stone itself measures 30mm by 16mm and the pendant itself measures 44mm high, 22mm wide and is 8mm deep (from the top of the hanging bail to the bottom of the backplate). The hanging bail is made from patterned silver sheet and is riveted in place, meaning it can move very sightly from side to side.

The stone is enclosed in its setting by fine silver bezel wire with a plain edge, and embellished with granules of silver. The backplate is solid with a brushed satin finish.

The Agate stone was sourced from a known Lapidary in the USA, and has the most stunning grey, white and gold banding patterns, making it truly unique. It has a domed, lightly glossy surface.

The chain is a classic belcher chain, and fastens with a lobster style trigger clasp. The pendant is paired with a 20" (50cm) by default, but you can also opt for a longer version if preferred by selecting a different length in the main menu. There is a slight price increase for any additional chain required.

The whole piece has been oxidised to add definition to the setting before being polished back to a soft sheen. A very striking piece of jewellery that is a great conversation starter!

ABOUT THE STONE

Crazy Lace Agate is known as the Laughter Stone, or “Happy Lace.” It is associated with sunny Mexican fiestas and dancing, and is believed to bring joy to those who wear it.

It is not just a stone of protection, but also of support and encouragement - promoting optimism and elevating thinking. It has a graceful but dynamic appearance, and the random lacy patterns with all the twisting and turning bands are said to create a circular flow of energy that is stimulating for the mind and encourages a positive attitude as well as enhancing mental agility, liveliness and flexibility - in both thought and action.

Agate is sometimes called the earth rainbow because, in its various forms, the concentric bands in nature form nearly every colour the earth can produce, even including a colourless form. Crazy Lace Agate is a variety of banded Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. It is predominantly white, with layers of creamy browns, blacks and grays. Some may include layers of yellow ochre, gold, scarlet and red.

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Due to weight and value, this necklace will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box. All items are sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.

Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).

I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.
