This lovely and unique pendant is entirely handcrafted from sterling and fine silver, and features a gorgeous piece of authentic seafoam-coloured sea glass encased in a classic bezel setting.

The pendant measures 29mm (2.9cm) long from the top of the hanging loop to the base of the setting backplate and is 20mm (2cm) wide, and 7mm (0.7cm) deep. It has a fixed silver ring at the top and hangs from two silver rings through which the chain is threaded.

The sea glass in this necklace is a very pretty shade of seafoam green, with a wonderfully tactile frosty surface and all the tiny c-marks from years spent tumbling in the waves that indicate its authenticity. It's also a really unusual rounded diamond shape.

The pendant is paired with a removable classic oval belcher chain which measures 20" (50cm) and fastens with a lobster clasp. Longer lengths are available for an additional charge if preferred - these can be selected from the menu on the left of the page.

Both the pendant setting and the chain have been polished to a high shine, with a soft brushed satin finish on the reverse of the backplate.

ABOUT THE SEA GLASS

Sea glass is broadly defined as glass which has been discarded into the oceans or on beaches, thereafter spending many decades being gently tumbled by the waves. This gives it the characteristic smooth edges and beautiful frosted appearance which defines it.

Every piece of sea glass I use is authentic, genuine sea glass – some of the the pieces here were found by me on my local beach, and others were collected by fellow beachcombers on the coasts of North East England where jewellery-grade sea glass is often more abundant and of a more unusual and bright colour.

As the glass I use is genuine, ocean tumbled sea glass, it does contain the very tiny indentions and 'C' marks on the surface which were created as it spent decades in the water - these are the characteristic signs of its authenticity. These marks are not usually obvious to the naked eye but may be visible in the close-up photographs.

Each item of sea glass jewellery I make will by its very nature be unique and 'one of a kind' - the pictures you see here in this listing are of the exact item that will be received and I always try to give as accurate a description as possible. PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Due to weight and value, this necklace will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box. All items are sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.

Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).

I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.
