'Pick Your Own' Sterling Silver Caged Sea Glass Marble Pendant Necklace
These striking and unique necklaces would make a perfect locket for any mermaid! Choose your own genuine ocean-tumbled sea glass marble from the available options and have it set into a bespoke, handcrafted sterling silver cage to wear as a pendant.

There is a range of marbles to choose from, with each one allocated an individual letter and photographed from all angles to really show off the colours and patterns. Scroll through the images to see the range available, along with a description and sizes. Prizes will vary according to marble rarity and quality, and the size of silver cage needed.
All the marbles have a very tactile, gorgeously frosted surface and have been naturally tumbled by the ocean - as a result of this journey they have all the beautiful 'C' marks and tiny inclusions that are characteristic of authentic sea glass and indicative of the many years spent being worn by the waves. These should be visible in the close-up photos but are far less apparent in real-life.
Your chosen marble will be securely set into a very simple handcrafted cage made from shiny recycled solid silver that has just four bars - keeping the metal to a minimum and letting the beauty of the marble take centre stage and the light to pass through them.
Each pendant is suspended from the top by means of a simple silver hanging ring, and whilst the marbles are free to spin in the setting (making them a great option for keeping anxious hands busy) it should be noted that they cannot be removed, and therefore are safe from accidental loss!
Please select your preferred marble from the menu - the ones shown in the individual collage photos here (labelled A, B C etc) will be the exact ones received, as every sea glass marble is truly 'one of a kind' and there is only ever one of each.
Availability is subject to change but once purchased, each marble will show as 'sold out' on the menu. Photos of finished pendants shown here are for illustration purposes only to show how they look. Final sizes of each cage will vary, but as a guide each one will be approximately 4mm wider than the diameter of the marble it holds. For example, a marble listed as being 15mm will have a silver cage roughly 19mm across in width.
Each necklace is priced initially to include a 50cm/20" solid sterling silver belcher chain which fastens with a lobster trigger clasp. The chain is a thicker and stronger style to match the weight of the pendant - longer lengths are also available if preferred for an additional charge. Please select your choice from the menu.
These necklaces are all individually handmade to order, so please allow a longer despatch time of up to one week from placing your order. During busier periods, such as Christmas, this turnaround time may need to be extended, but I will get in touch as soon as possible if this is the case. ABOUT THE SEA GLASS
Every piece of sea glass I use is authentic, genuine sea glass – much of which has been personally collected by me from the pebbly beaches along The Solent in Hampshire, where I live. However, the glass used in these particular necklaces originated from the North East coast of England where glass factories were once located and where surplus quantities were often discarded into the sea. This resulted in a more plentiful supply of sea glass to be found on the surrounding beaches several decades, and even centuries, later!
PACKAGING & SHIPPING
Due to weight and value, each necklace will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box. All items are sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.
Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).
I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.
