Product Details

This beautiful and 'one of a kind' pendant is handcrafted in fine and sterling silver and features a beautiful Horse Canyon Moss Agate gemstone.

The stone measures 23mm by 22mm and the pendant itself measures 24mm wide and 40mm high (from the base of the backplate to the top of the hanging bail). The hanging bail is made from a loop of patterned silver, attached to the main body of the pendant by a single silver ring.

The stone is enclosed in its setting by fine silver bezel wire with a scalloped edge, and the backplate is sterling silver with a simple cutout back. The whole piece has a soft brushed satin finish.

The Agate stone was sourced from a known Lapidary in the USA, and has gorgeous grey, blue and green banding patterns in swirls of pale gold, making it truly unique. It has a domed, lightly glossy surface.

The chain is a classic belcher chain, and fastens with a lobster style trigger clasp. It is an adjustable 18/20" (45/50cm) length by default, but I can provide an alternative length if preferred - please just get in touch if you would like something different.

The whole piece has been oxidised to add definition to the setting before being polished back to a soft sheen. A very striking piece of jewellery that is a great conversation starter!

ABOUT THE STONE

Agate is ‘the stone of inner stability’, and is found in a great many colours. It is widely regarded as a protective stone, and is said to help raise self-awareness, stabilise the aura, and eliminate and transform negative energy. Other properties it is alleged to possess include an ability to lift mental function by improving clarity of thought and concentration, and the power to soothe and calm by healing inner anger or tension, creating a sense of security and safety.

Moss Agate is a form of chalcedony included in the Agate family. It is a semi-precious stone made from silicon dioxide. Moss Agate has green colored minerals throughout which look like moss. It also has brown or black shades in the patterns.

Moss Agate is considered to be the stone of new beginnings and is all about attracting abundance and tapping into deep-set creativity. It is said to reduce sensitivity to weather and environmental pollutants, encourage tranquility and emotional balance, and improve self-esteem.

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Due to weight and value, this necklace will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box. All items are sent in mailing boxes, mailing bags or padded envelopes as appropriate.

Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).

I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.
